Sports and Deep Tissue Massage
Sports massage
Who It's For
Anyone with muscle tension, tightness, postural strain or recovering from training or minor injury. Ideal for active people and those with desk-based or repetitive strain, following a short consultation.
Expected Results
You should feel looser, with reduced tension and pain and improved movement. Regular treatment supports recovery, helps prevent injury and keeps muscles supple.
Pre-care Advice
Arrive hydrated and avoid a heavy meal beforehand. Tell your therapist about any injuries, health conditions and the areas causing you trouble so the treatment can target them safely.
After-care Advice
Drink plenty of water, keep gently moving and stretch as advised, and avoid intense exercise for the rest of the day. Heat can help ease any post-treatment tenderness.
Downtime & Recovery
There is no real downtime; you can return to normal activity, ideally keeping intense exercise light for the rest of the day.
Contraindications
Please Read Carefully Before Booking This Treatment.
Deep tissue and sports massage may not be suitable over acute injuries, inflammation, certain medical conditions or during early pregnancy. A consultation confirms suitability and pressure.
Side Effects & Risks
Some tenderness or stiffness for a day or two after deeper work is normal as the muscles respond. Drinking water and gentle movement help it settle.
