After gaining valuable experience with Glemby International within the Eaden Lilly Department Store in Cambridge, Kirsten went on to open her first salon, Kirsten’s Beauty Rooms in 1989 on Victoria Street, above Strands Hair Salon. Yes. Kirsten works alone, so appointments are essential. She does not operate an online booking system, so please make contact by phone, email or WhatsApp to arrange a convenient time. New clients are required to pay in advance by bank transfer at the time of booking.

Are treatments suitable for all skin tones, genders and ages?
Absolutely. Kirsten offers a full range of treatments for all genders, ages and skin tones. She has particular expertise in treating inflammatory skin conditions, PCOS-related hair concerns and supporting clients who are transitioning.
What is electrolysis and is it truly permanent?
Electrolysis is the only clinically recognised method of permanent hair removal. It works on all hair colours and skin tones, making it effective where laser treatment cannot succeed. Kirsten is one of the most experienced electrolysis practitioners in the Fenland area.
Is a patch test required before treatments such as Hair Bare Professional?
Yes. A patch test must be carried out between 48 hours and 7 days before the Hair Bare Professional alkaline wash treatment. Kirsten will advise you on any patch test requirements when you make your booking enquiry.
What skincare brands does Kirsten use?
Kirsten works primarily with Circadia, a results-driven American skincare brand rooted in Chronobiology. She also uses Celluma LED, HYPO21 pure hypochlorous acid (an MHRA-awarded medical device), and the Studex ear piercing system.
Are evening and weekend appointments available?
Yes. Kirsten works Monday to Thursday from 8.30am until 10pm, making late evening appointments readily available. Friday and Saturday morning slots are reserved for clients on intensive skin programmes requiring multiple sessions per week.

The number of sessions varies depending on the individual, the condition being treated and the treatment chosen. Kirsten will discuss a recommended programme during your initial consultation and design a plan tailored specifically to your skin and hair removal goals.
