About World Luxury Spa Awards 2026
Established in 2006, the World Luxury Spa Awards honours the finest spas worldwide through voting by 250,000+ travellers and professionals across 100+ categories. Two annual gala ceremonies at prestigious global venues.
The World Luxury Spa Awards is one of the most prestigious international recognition programmes for the luxury spa industry, established in 2006 and now celebrating two decades of honouring the world's finest spas and wellness destinations. Each year, more than 250,000 international travellers and industry professionals cast their votes during a designated three-week voting period, making this one of the most broadly voted spa awards programmes in the world.
Winners are determined across 100+ specialist categories ranging from Luxury Resort Spa, City Spa, and Boutique Spa to niche disciplines including Ayurveda Spa, Thai Spa, Hammam, Thermal Spa, and Thalassotherapy. Recognition extends to wellness, product innovation, spa design, and management excellence, with results announced at country, regional, continental, and global levels.
The programme culminates in two annual gala ceremonies held at prestigious venues in different global locations within one week of each other. The 2026 European gala is confirmed for 17 October 2026 at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel in Romania.
Luxury spas can self-nominate or be nominated by guests, travel agents, and tour operators. The World Luxury Spa Awards is part of the wider World Luxury Awards family, which also includes the World Luxury Hotel Awards, World Luxury Restaurant Awards, and World Luxury Travel Awards.
