About British Beauty Week 2026
British Beauty Week 2026 runs 12–25 October — a nationwide British Beauty Council celebration of UK beauty with an Industry Day, talks, workshops and events.
British Beauty Week 2026 – The UK's Nationwide Celebration of British Beauty
British Beauty Week returns from 12–25 October 2026, running across London and the wider UK. Led by the British Beauty Council, it is the beauty industry's flagship national moment — two full weeks dedicated to the people, businesses and craft that make up one of Britain's most creative and economically significant sectors.
Now an established fixture in the beauty calendar, British Beauty Week brings together every corner of the industry: hairdressers, barbers, beauty and nail therapists, aestheticians, make-up artists, brand founders, manufacturers, educators, students and beauty lovers. The fortnight is built around a mix of trade-focused and consumer-facing activity, so whether you work behind the chair, behind the counter or behind the scenes, there is something designed for you.
What's On During British Beauty Week
The centrepiece is the Industry Day, a dedicated programme for beauty professionals featuring panel discussions, keynote sessions and networking with brand founders, beauty editors, educators and policymakers. Alongside it sit masterclasses, skills workshops, retail activations, product launches, open studios and community events hosted by salons, brands and colleges throughout the country.
Recurring themes across the programme include career pathways and apprenticeships, sustainability and packaging, mental health and wellbeing at work, salon business growth, and the sector's contribution to the UK economy. It is as much an advocacy moment as a celebration — the British Beauty Council uses the week to champion the industry's value and to push for better recognition, education and regulation.
Who Should Attend
British Beauty Week is open to professionals and the public alike. Salon and clinic owners, self-employed stylists and therapists, beauty students and career changers, indie brand founders and industry suppliers will all find relevant sessions. Many events are free, though some ticketed sessions and workshops sell out early, so booking ahead is recommended.
About the Organiser
British Beauty Week is organised by the British Beauty Council, the not-for-profit trade body representing the UK beauty industry. The Council champions the sector's talent, careers and economic contribution year-round, and British Beauty Week is its flagship public campaign. Full programme details and booking are published on the British Beauty Council website ahead of the event.
