Who it's for
Anyone who wants smooth skin and longer-lasting results than shaving, with softer regrowth and fewer ingrown hairs over time. Suitable for most skin types and a welcoming choice for anyone who values a discreet, inclusive clinic.
Expected results
Skin is left smooth straight away, and with regular waxing hair grows back finer and sparser. Results typically last three to four weeks depending on the area and your hair growth.
Pre-care and after-care
Pre-care advice
Let the hair grow to at least a quarter of an inch, around two weeks of growth, so the wax can grip it. Avoid sunbathing, hot baths and exfoliating on the day, and tell us if you use retinoids or other skin treatments as these can affect suitability.
After-care advice
Avoid heat, hot baths, saunas, swimming, exercise and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Do not exfoliate for a couple of days, then exfoliate gently a few times a week to help prevent ingrown hairs, and keep the skin moisturised.
There is no downtime. You can carry on with your day, simply avoiding heat, friction and tight clothing on the area for 24 to 48 hours.
Safety, risks and contraindications
Contraindications
Waxing may not be suitable over broken or irritated skin, sunburn, or if you use certain skin treatments such as retinoids. Let us know about any medication or skin conditions and we will advise.
Side effects and risks
Some redness, warmth or small bumps just after waxing are normal and settle within a few hours. Following your aftercare reduces the chance of irritation or ingrown hairs.
