Aesthetics and Injectable Treatments
Who it's for
Adults looking to refresh their appearance, soften lines, restore volume or improve skin quality, who want their treatment carried out professionally after a proper consultation.
Expected results
Natural-looking results appropriate to the treatment, discussed and agreed at your consultation. Some treatments work best as a course or need occasional top-ups.
Pre-care and after-care
Pre-care advice
A consultation and assessment are required before any aesthetic or injectable treatment. Where advised, avoid alcohol, blood-thinning supplements and strenuous exercise beforehand, and share your full medical history and any medication.
After-care advice
Follow the specific aftercare given for your treatment. This usually means avoiding touching or massaging the area, heat, alcohol, makeup and exercise for the recommended period, and attending any review appointment.
Varies by treatment. Many have little downtime, though some bruising, swelling or redness at the treated area is common for a few days.
Safety, risks and contraindications
Contraindications
Aesthetic and injectable treatments are not suitable for everyone, for example during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions or medications. Full suitability is assessed at your consultation.
Side effects and risks
Temporary bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness at treated areas is common. All risks are explained fully at your consultation before you go ahead.
