Who it's for
Ideal for adults wanting to soften dynamic expression lines caused by repeated muscle movement — frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet and more — for a refreshed, natural result. Suitability is confirmed at a full medical consultation.
Expected results
Smoother, softer expression lines while retaining natural facial movement. Initial results usually appear within 3–7 days, with full results visible after around 2 weeks. Effects typically last approximately 3–4 months.
Pre-care and after-care
Pre-care advice
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment and, where medically appropriate, blood-thinning medicines and supplements (such as ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oils) to reduce bruising. Arrive with clean skin and inform Dr Helen of your full medical history at consultation.
After-care advice
Stay upright for 4 hours and avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas, sunbeds and facials for 24 hours. Gently exercise the treated muscles as advised, and follow the full aftercare Dr Helen provides.
Minimal downtime — most clients return to normal activities immediately, following the simple aftercare guidance for the first 24 hours.
Safety, risks and contraindications
Contraindications
Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for those with certain neuromuscular conditions, active skin infections at the treatment site, or a known allergy to botulinum toxin. Full medical history is reviewed at consultation to confirm suitability.
Side effects and risks
Temporary redness, small bumps or minor bruising at injection sites can occur and settle quickly. Less commonly, mild headache or temporary asymmetry may occur; these are discussed fully at consultation.
