Who it's for
Ideal for anyone wanting neat, well-cared-for hands and feet — whether you want a natural, groomed finish, nourished dry or hardworking hands and feet, or a long-lasting polished look for an event or holiday. Suitable for most clients following consultation.
Expected results
Smooth, well-groomed nails and cuticles, softened skin and a neat, long-lasting finish. Regular treatments keep hands and feet healthy, comfortable and looking their best.
Pre-care and after-care
Pre-care advice
Remove any existing nail polish if possible, or let Clare know so it can be removed for you. Avoid cutting cuticles beforehand. Mention any nail concerns, skin conditions or allergies during your consultation.
After-care advice
Moisturise hands, feet and cuticles regularly and wear gloves for cleaning or gardening to protect your nails. If a polish or gel finish is applied, avoid prolonged soaking and use cuticle oil to prolong the result.
No downtime — you can enjoy your freshly groomed hands and feet immediately, simply allowing any polish to dry fully before activity.
Safety, risks and contraindications
Contraindications
Not suitable on active infections, fungal nail or skin infections, open wounds, or inflamed or broken skin. Diabetes, circulatory conditions and some skin conditions may require adaptation or GP guidance, and are assessed at consultation.
Side effects and risks
Manicures and pedicures are very low risk. Occasionally, sensitivity can occur around the cuticles or from a polish product; any concerns are discussed and patch tested where appropriate.
