Chemical Exfoliation (Peels)

A chemical peel uses a solution of acids to loosen and lift the outermost layers of skin, encouraging fresher cells to come through. It is a form of controlled exfoliation, and the depth of the peel decides both the result and the risks involved. Superficial peels use gentler alpha and beta hydroxy acids such as glycolic, lactic, mandelic or salicylic acid, and work mainly on the very surface to brighten dull skin, soften the look of uneven texture and support congested or oily skin.
