Manual Exfoliation (Scrubs)
Manual exfoliation, often simply called a scrub, uses a product containing gritty particles, such as sugar, salt, ground seeds or synthetic granules, to physically lift away dead cells from the skin's surface. It can be offered on the face as part of a facial or on the body, and the aim is smoother, brighter-feeling skin with a temporary fresh glow. Because the effect is superficial, a scrub is a comfort and radiance treatment rather than a way to treat skin conditions, scarring or deep pigmentation.
