My career as a hairdresser has taken many different paths from time to time. I have been employed as a senior stylist in other salons and after gaining my degree, I became a lecturer in further education colleges.

My career has also involved being a work-based assessor and a craft educator for the company Matrix. 

In August 2013 I decided to take the plunge and open my first salon within the Blackwell Grange Hotel, Darlington. I didn’t know how this would pan out or if it would even be successful. However, I embraced the challenge and within the first 2 years the business grew way beyond my expectations. As a result, the premises became too small to cope with the demand.

  Once again i took on a new challenge to move to bigger premises. I was thrilled to find this fantastic salon in such a great location in Billingham. I fully refurbished, giving the salon a new feel and embarked on hiring a highly skilled team of stylists.  I made this transition from being employed to owning my own business because I wanted to share my knowledge and passion with my clients, and build up the careers of other young, up and coming stylists.
