A brief encounter in 1997 with a length of thread and hairy upper lip lead me to where I am now.

I practiced and perfected my threading technique over the years, but didn't start formal hair and beauty training until I was in my mid 20's. Instead I took the 'sensible' route of dental nursing. A career I enjoyed for around 15 years, with the last few years working with specialists. I'm still nerdy about teeth. Dentistry has also set my standards for hygiene practices. Once a dental nurse, always a dental nurse!

I've worked in a range of settings including a photography studio where I had the chance to work on my session styling skills, in a fantastic barber shop where I introduced male grooming to men who had never been waxed before and they grew to love the one stop shop experience.

The pandemic brought me to a little seaside town - a world away from the city of Birmingham where I thought I had downed tools, but I soon realised there was a space for someone to offer threading, waxing and curly hair services so here we are. the bee hive in Gorleston on Sea!
