Fusion extensions, sometimes called keratin bond or pre-bonded extensions, add length and volume by attaching small strands of extension hair to your own hair using a keratin bond. With hot fusion the stylist warms a U-shaped keratin tip with a heated tool, wraps the softened bond around a small section of your natural hair and lets it cool to set; cold fusion uses an ultrasonic or pressure tool instead of direct heat.
