Spray tan
A spray tan is a form of sunless tanning that gives your skin a golden, sun-kissed look without any exposure to UV. A fine mist of solution is applied to the skin, either by a trained therapist using a spray gun or in an automated booth. The active ingredient is usually dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a colouring agent that reacts with amino acids in the outermost layer of the skin to gradually produce a brown tone. Because the colour sits on the surface and is not caused by UV damage, a spray tan is widely regarded as a lower-risk alternative to sunbathing or sunbeds.
